Unearthing Colour - Past, Present, and Personal
Over her fortnight in HARI, Liz reflected on her past work, whilst experimenting with new materials and directions.
Liz's practice has included working with puppets, and in community settings. She reactivated the puppets she brought into the space - including an Ark of Animals, and Soul - and encouraged visitors to play and relate to their different characters and construction.
New experimentation included drawing with chalks made of brick dust, and painting with paints made of vegetable matter and ink made of Reckitts Blue washing powder tablets. People were invited to have a go at making and using these paints, and to share memories of local colour.
