HARI Ideas Lab '24

An Invitation to Share, Discuss & Enact
1st January-30th March '24

With Events & Collaborations Throughout

For our second Ideas Lab period, HARI has a couple of intertwining subjects for consideration as we head into our 2024 programme:

- Philanthropy, and what we Give, and what we Get, which will be initiated by our The Gift That Keeps On Giving exhibition

- Hull's artistic history 1984-present, in the lead up to the CounterPoints exhibitions/programme which will incorporate the building of an archive of recollections and connections

We invite you to come in and converse about any aspect around these subjects - or on any topic around art, place, society or systems - and to engage with the artist interventions hosted during this period.

If you would like to propose an intervention or activity for our Ideas Lab period, or have material to share for the archive, please email Sarah and Tom at hullartistresearch@gmail.com.

Our Ideas Lab 2. activity includes:

- Not Just Window Dressing (20/12/23-26/01/24) exhibition of works produced by Artists in Residence during HARI's St Hughs Foundation funded summer '23 programme RE:DRESS, as we reflect and evaluate

- The Gift That Keeps On Giving exhibition of articles gifted to HARI to enable it's work, with opportunities to engage with questions around the subject

- Nature Matters (23/02/24, 6.30-8pm) short film produced by the Yorkshire & North East Film Archives, shown in association with CRAG

- Mammary Mountain (27/02-02/03/24) intimate visceral VR experience exploring dis-ease within the body through the breast cancer treatment journey, brought to you by artists Camille Baker, Tara Baoth Mooney, and Maf’j Alvarez; https://mammary-vr.art/
