Same Circle R&D Weekend 22nd-23rd January
Local theatre company Same Circle invited the public to engage with them and to find out more about how they research and experiment. They asked the public to share their own experiences of LGBTQ+ culture, to influence their forthcoming play.
Beyond Future Artist Event 26th February
Future's Ventures Foundation event, bringing radical artists from across the country to meet and share ideas and experiences with local artists through open studios, presentations, performances and music.
Lead Me On 1st February-6th March
Continued research by Sarah Pennington around communication, misdirection, and navigating information received.
Research In Practice 9th-23rd March
Exhibition of the final Research Posters and related artworks and research materials by 5 students approaching the completion of their degrees. Join them for conversations around their research areas.
Artist in Residence: Marcel Craven 1st April-21st May
CRYPTIC SPACE, POWER PRINCIPLES & THE HUMAN CONDITION was an enquiry undertaken in the space over 6weeks which explored the nature of truth, lies, and misinformation.
Project:ed Light Workshops April-May
Workshops led by artist Jay Moy to explore ideas around projection artworks, including an introduction to projection mapping software. These workshops are research for a future project.
Last Chance by Wild Weed Kitchen Saturday 28th May
An opportunity to try free handmade Dandelion Burgers, hog-weed stirfry, wild garlic pesto and other delicious fare, while considering where and how we get our food with the alittlepieceofland artists.
Artist in Residence: Pheobe Riley Law 14th June-20th July
Showcasing her piece direct from Humber Street Gallery, with initial research and process information, for reflection and the development of new ideas - including a sound art event on Sunday 10th July.
